A Disney College Program recruitment online conference will give Morehead State University students a look into a popular internship in the company’s parks. Connor Tilford, a business management senior, interned with the program in 2019 and said that the program helped him get a different perspective than local internships in eastern Kentucky.
“I was able to interact with people of different religions, races and backgrounds,” said Tilford. “Which you don’t get to experience in eastern Kentucky.”
Tilford encouraged students to apply for the internship because it offers different jobs and positions and could lead to a full-time job opportunity.
“I would recommend this program to anyone no matter your major or experience, because it definitely prepares you for the real world outside of college,” he said.
The internship also helped from the perspective of his major.
“Being in the operation side of things allowed me to get a different aspect of what working in business management would be like upon graduation,” said Tilford.
The recruitment conference is scheduled for April 20 at 2 p.m. and will be hosted by Dr. Donell Murray, an instructor in the Department of Communications, Media and Languages.
Christy Marciari, a recruiter with Disney Internships and Programs will be on hand to talk about the program and why it could be the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you in the future.
Tilford, who is graduating in May, said he plans on returning to Florida to work for the Walt Disney World Company in the operations field.
